CanAlaska Uranium Ltd., known for their impressive track record of identifying and exploring mineral properties in Canada, is a company focusing on Uranium exploration in Saskatchewan in the Athabasca Basin – the “Saudi Arabia of Uranium”, and Base Metal exploration in Manitoba and British Columbia. With a new head office in Saskatoon, CanAlaska reached out to the local Concept3 Business Interiors Ltd. team to assist them with their office build-out project.

C3BI outfitted the CanAlaska space with 3 new offices using Teknion’s extremely versatile demountable wall system called Altos. The use of landscape glass fronts segmented by black framing added an industrial look to the offices which was a perfect complement to the base building’s exposed concrete, brick & ductwork.
The blended use of wood & bright white laminates in both the Teknion Leverage Workstations & Expansion Desk Offices added uniformity, warmth & bright reflective light to the entire office. The addition of matching Teknion Byward wall mounted shelving added functionality and personality to the offices for a familiar residential look. Height adjustable desks were chosen for both workstations and offices alike to achieve the added health benefit of movement demanded in today’s office environment.
As an extra bit of fun & interest, pops of color were added to the office via the X-Chair, Sit-on-It Amplify & Humanscale Liberty task seating paired with contrasting bright blue Teknion Zones guest chairs. This theme was extended into the boardroom via Teknion Zones Club seating in a bright orange pop to create a fun & relaxed setting for meetings while maintaining the overall design.
The final touch of Gus Modern lounge pieces paired with comfy pillows, not only provides a comfortable & inviting collaborative area but adds a great space for at home comfort in the office.
CanAlaska’s newly outfitted office is a warm & inviting space showcasing C3BI’s products, planning & design with a softened residential feel. We hope their new space will be enjoyed by all who enter as they travel down the road of continued success!
