Teknion’s Focus demountable wall system with it’s refined, minimal profile, full-height transparency and seamless glass joints was a perfect complement to the base building’s outstanding city views. Designed to connect with other wall programs within Teknion’s portfolio, the Focus wall system was paired with Teknion’s Altos wall system to create comprehensive workspaces tailored to specific user needs while maintaining an integrated finish palette, thereby providing continuity across all 9 floors of the project.
Focus’s 10’ monolithic double-glazed option was used for all office fronts with 12 mm laminated glass, providing the acoustic performance necessary to achieve an overall 45+ stc rating while maintaining a minimal architectural presence. The Focus doors, designed to parallel the acoustic properties and visual privacy features found in the glass, were outfitted with 24” linear pulls and soft close mechanisms with a hold open feature to add operational ease and comfort.
Teknion’s Altos demountable wall system with monolithic fascia was used for all demising walls within the project. Altos not only provided an optimal acoustic performance across the entire system maintaining a 45+ stc rating but allowed the flexibility to use all Teknion standard modular electrics and data solutions in addition to incorporating all lights switches, thermostats, media and AV systems within the wall system. The complimentary monolithic fascia with the blended use of a custom wood veneer and magnetic back-painted glass added an extra layer of functionality, interest and design to each room.
Altos not only offered an extensive variety of fascias, electrical and acoustic options but allows for reconfiguration or full relocation as required within the 9 floors. Its unique universal framework and demountable fascias can easily be reconfigured to keep up with the ever-changing needs of the future workspace.
The final touch to the space was the addition of Living Product Certified Humanscale Dual MFlex for M2.1 Monitor arm systems for all workstations. Meeting the most rigorous sustainable manufacturing criteria to date of climate, water and energy positive, every time we install these monitor arms the planet is better off, which assisted in this project reaching LEED Gold certification.
Concept3 Business Interiors is extremely proud to have been part of this LEED Gold certificated Tenant Improvement Project in Saskatoon’s iconic River Landing Development. We look forward to the building tenant’s success & hope the new space will be enjoyed by all who enter for years to come.
